Meet Denise

Hello, I'm Denise Marshall...

Denise has been illustrating and creating three dimensional fiber art design for close to twenty years. Her inspiration is nature derived. Long walks down country roads rock her world. There are so many treasures to be had simply through viewing with eyes and heart wide open.

At Rare Rabbit Studio you will find cards, coloring books, prints and needle felted sculpture and kits, both whimsical and realistic. Many of her felted and watercolor characters are pulled right out of Bellinwood Forest, an enchanted realm she hopes to share in book form soon.

Teaching background

Denise is a self taught fiber artist who first discovered the craft of needle felting in 2008. Creating with roving and specialized barbed needles is like fiber alchemy, sculpting wool into amazing art forms.

Denise started teaching fiber art in 2015 at “Castle in the Air” in Berkeley CA, a most magical backdrop. Click tour to enjoy a glimpse of castle life! She taught here until it’s closing in 2019.

Soon after Denise starting teaching at Etui shop in Berkeley and more recently at Judith and Lily in Petaluma.
