"Garden friends" pin cushion, "Beginner Friendly"!!
This sweet pin cushion is a great way to safely store not only pins and needles for sewing but also felting needles! In this all day “beginner friendly” class you will learn the art of felting with wool using specialized barbed needles. We will start with a smallish blue ceramic pot, fill it with core wool and finish it with a blanket of wool greenery. Both garden friends begin with a very simple armature which is then covered with wool and sculpted using the appropriate felting needles. The bumbly bee’s wings are fashioned from sparkly fabric. Glass eyes bring both little creatures to life! Materials also include a few pearlized heart straight pins to embellish your garden and two felting needles to take home!
