"Learn to needle felt "Jasper, the long eared Jerboa"
The long eared Jerboa hops like a kangaroo and can cover 15 miles in an hour! Their dumbo like ears have dubbed them the ‘Mickey Mouse’ of the Chinese desert! Jasper is part of my Endangered Species series and considered “vulnerable” on the IUCN red list . In this class you will create Jasper starting with a wire armature. Core wool will then be added and sculpted into a life like Jerboa shape. The hands will be created using peach floral tape over tiny wire. The ears will start with Holland felt covered in wool and finished off with colored pastels. Glass black eyes and horse hair whiskers add the finishing touch! This is an intermediate + class. Some prior needle felting and sculpting experience would be most helpful!

The class includes all materials and will be limited to a small group of seven!
Ages 15+
Please feel free to bring a snack or sack lunch and drink along for an afternoon break. I will also provide snacks, coffee and tea along with plenty of fun filled whimsy!
