Learn to Needle felt young Obie the Barn Owl!
Did you know the Barn Owl was once called a Hobgoblin owl? The name may stem from its spooky appearance when flying at night. I am not sure Obie fits into the “spooky Goblin” category with his kind eyes! In this all day class you will learn the art of creating wool sculpture over a cotton wrapped armature using specialized felting needles. You will also learn the process of creating bird feet from wire, wool, and colored beeswax. I will show you how to make cabochon glass eyes which can be used in future projects. Obie stands a little over 7 inches tall and is semi posable. This is an easy level two class (meaning you are familiar and have some grasp of wrapping, creating armatures, making shapes and sculpting with wool} Some prior needle felting experience would be helpful!!
