Vermeer the velvet winged Flying Fox!
Vermeer the Flying fox is all cozy in his velvety wrap to fend off the Autumn nip in the air! His sweet puppy face is truly hard to resist! In this all day class you will learn the art of needle felting wool over a cotton wrapped wire armature. We’ll go over the process of creating bat toes from thin wire wrapped in floral tape. Vermeer is securely swaddled in his black velvet blanket cut from a pattern and glued into place. (wings do not open!) His nose is formed and sculpted over a wool base using Felter’s wax. Glass amber eyes bring him to life! Vermeer will hang from a 14 inch grapevine wreath adorned with the colors of Autumn, the perfect decor to welcome friends and family! This is a level two class. Some prior needle felting will br most helpful!

The class includes all materials and will be limited to a small group of seven!
Ages 15+
Please feel free to bring a snack or sack lunch and drink along for an afternoon break. I will also provide snacks, coffee and tea along with plenty of fun filled whimsy!
